Blissful Living

Last weekend we went on a short getaway to Macau to enjoy the beautiful Banyan Tree hotel and its fab wellness facilities. The weather gods were kind enough to grant us two warm and sunny days so that we could still relax in the outdoor pool and on the lounging chairs. Albeit being stared at by Chinese gamblers in wool jackets who were just rushing by to reach the closest Baccarat table in the opposite Casino, we truly enjoyed a nice swim, the jacuzzi and complimentary servings of delicious chili prawns.

So here are the 5 things that made my weekend blissful:

1. Billabong's Sea Scape Skirt: Love the floral print and its functionality. Perfect to wear to the beach/pool with your bikini and then dress it up with a cute top for the evening.

2. Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Sun Protection: Yummy coconut scent, easy to absorb, non-greasy and available in different SPF (up to SPF 50). I first discovered it when I was actually in Hawaii and have been using it ever since. Whenever I need this instant vacation feeling, I use this instead of a body lotion.

3. Longans: A sweet, juicy and healthy fruit originally from Thailand. They are small, round with a white flesh and black seed inside. Ideal for snacking and highly addictive!

4. Incense Sticks: No trip is complete without a visit to Banyan's Tree Spa Shop. I could easily exceed my credit card limit over there, so I forced myself to take cash with me only. After spending almost an hour in the shop testing all their products, I eventually picked 2 floral incense stick packs: Rose and Champaka.

5. Dedon's Loveseat: In my opinion, this is the epitome of a relaxing beach chair. Comfy with a big resting area, lots of cushions and gliding casters we were chilling in grand style next to the pool.

Oh, by the way, we even had our own small pool in our room - incredible, right?

  1. Ohhhhhh!
