Having a very sensitive skin, I shy away from any shower gels or baths you can buy at the beauty counter. Even if they claim to be soft on your skin and moisturizing, I find most of them chemical-laden. Hence I usually blend my very own shower gels. And instead of spending money on a big bottle with one scent only, I can mix it up depending on my needs.
DIY Shower Gel Recipe with Lavender and Bergamot Essential Oils (100 ml)
Here's what you need:
- 1 empty, clean plastic bottle for 100ml (reuse your old ones!)
- 100 ml of any organic, unscented, chemical- and paraben free shower gel base like the ones from Dr. Bronner's or Farfalla. Or maybe you have a trusted aromatherapy shop where you can buy the soap
- 15 drops of True Lavender Essential Oil
- 10 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil
(When using Essential Oils, please check with your doctor first if you are pregnant or suffer from any illness)

Preparation:
1. Have all your ingredients and a little towel ready for blending
2. Fill the empty bottle with 100 ml of your shower gel base
3. Blend in half of the Essential Oils first and shake the bottle a little bit; then blend in the remaining drops
Close the bottle and shake it again. Let the essential oils "develop" for a day before you first use your handmade goodness.
Nighty Night!
