And here are my 5 favorite things for blissful living this week:

1. A&F Skinny Sweatpants: When I want to feel cozy and warm while doing yoga or meditation, these pants are my top choice as they are super soft inside and the bright color just makes me smile. Actually, you can see me wearing them all weekend long.

2. Bob's Red Mill Almond Meal / Flour: Since I switched to a gluten-free diet, I had to find a flour substitute that I could use for making pancakes or brownies; the outcome also had to be close to the original taste. After some trial and error, I found the almond flour to be very yummy and a good source for protein too.

3. Banyan Tree Oil Burners: As an aspiring aromatherapist, I can never have enough oil burners at home. But I recommend them to anyone, especially now during the cold season. They are so simple to use yet so effective in lifting one's spirit. Look for those with a big bowl which prolongs the burning time.

4. Goji / Wolf Berries: Another great superfood that goes into my daily smoothie. Packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, these berries look really funny but are quite sweet (I wouldn't recommend eating them on their own though). Asians have been adding them to their meals for thousands of years; here in Hong Kong you can mainly find them in soups. They are also said to improve eyesight.

5. Vibram Five Fingers: So, my friend Lory wears them all the time, now my hubby can't live without these awesome footwear anymore - I want them too! Barefoot running is not only becoming a trend, but it is changing our mindset about what a "good" running shoe should be like. Namely, promoting better foot mechanics, strengthening our muscles and preventing injuries. The Five Fingers are on my Christmas wish list!

  1. yes, you are right goji berries are very commonly used in Asia - my grandmother often used them in soup when we were in Malaysia. Not quite sure about the eyesight though . Happy weekend :) x
